WIKI 💜
Hello :)
Let's talk
about wiki :)
What is WIKI?
Wiki is a web technology used for
collaborative publishing on the web. Wiki is a type of server software that
allows you to work with data on a remote server on the Web. Users interact with
the software through a web interface that lets them read, edit and publish
content.
WIKI is used for
collaborative publishing. A group of co-authors can freely add and change the
content of the wiki website: rewrite texts, add new texts and images, add and
link pages and more.
Also, WIKI can be used in the education system. For example, students may be
asked to create a page where they can place your photo and some information
about yourself. A student's page can contain a photo, bio information,
hobbies, a list of interests, links to favorite websites. Then they can
begin to implement more complex tasks, for example, to work on collaborative
research projects. Today I met with WIKIVERSITY and tell you about it a
little.
Wikiversity is a
Wikimedia Foundation project devoted to learning resources, learning projects, and research for use in all
levels, types, and styles of education from pre-school to university, including
professional training and informal learning.
In Wikiversity, you can find learning materials
of all types to use yourself as self-study materials. If you are interested in
learning about a subject, browse our
content to see if there is anything that suits your needs. It would also be
helpful if you comment on the materials you use, so that we can continually
improve our resources.
Also, if you want to meet other people who are interested in your subject, you
may want to join a learning community devoted
to that subject (or help create one if one doesn't yet exist). You may find
someone there who can help you with your learning, or you may want to help
someone else with what you already know (or have just found out).

The site has fairly friendly interface.
Wikiversity for teaching
Wikiversity is
designed to collect a range of learning materials for various uses. These
materials are designed, not just for self-study, but also as material which can
be used in your classroom.
As Wikiversity is a work in progress, there is always content that can
be added.
Thus, a living resource is created that will be useful to
teachers, not only in their classrooms, but also as somewhere to improve
teaching practice through sharing materials and experiences.
I think the
service will be useful both for teachers than for students. This is
a good opportunity to discover something new, get excited, learn and share your
experience.
